Samantha Mies

During the Flinchbaugh Fellowship, Samantha had the opportunity to be a lobbyist in the Kansas State Capitol, work on a personalized project, and attend meetings with board members of KCC and other agriculture associations. In addition, she visited cooperatives across the state of Kansas to build relationships and network. “This program was a great start to my professional development. My boss, Brandi Miller, was an amazing role model in her ability to teach and manage the KCC.  I have used many of the skills and knowledge in my next step as a grain originator for ADM. I am grateful for the Flinchbaugh Food and Ag Policy Fellowship and the knowledge, network, and opportunities I gained from the program.”
