Student: B.S. Agricultural Economics, Pre-Law Specialty
I am a sophomore at K-State studying agricultural economics, originally from Roseland, Nebraska. My upbringing in a rural community dependent on agriculture fostered a passion to pursue a career in agriculture and the policies that influence it. I currently work with the Kansas Department of Agriculture as a Flinchbaugh Fellow, gaining agricultural policy experience and an insight to legislative process at the state level, as well as a deeper understanding of the legal frameworks that guide regulatory implementation. I look forward to working for Congressman Adrian Smith's Washington DC office in the summer of 2025. The Flinchbaugh Food and Ag Policy Fellowship has allowed me to actively engage in water policy conservations, a particular interest I have relating to agriculture. This experience has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in policy and legal matters, equipping me with the knowledge needed to pursue agricultural and water law.Â
