Reed Middleton
Reed graduated from Kansas State University in May 2022 with a degree in Agricultural Economics and a specialty in Global Food Systems Leadership. She spent the following year in the UK completing her MSc Food Economics at the University of Reading. As a Flinchbaugh Fellow, Reed gained experience and applied the concepts she learned in the classroom. She says it provided tangible examples to enhance her academic and professional development and gave her the chance to make meaningful contributions to grassroots ag policy efforts. “Working with KGS and NSP helped me to refine my career path and encouraged me to further my education in areas of agriculture and food policy." Reed is currently pursuing a career in food systems research with hopes to generate knowledge that informs objective food and agricultural policy around the world.
