B.S. Agricultural Economics; Secondary Major: Global Food Systems Leadership; Minor: Animal Science

The Flinchbaugh Food and Ag Policy Fellowship changed the course of my career path. Kiran began her time at K-State as an Agricultural Education major. “I only took a policy class for fun,” she said. “I was later encouraged to apply for the program by the professor.” The experiences she had both at the state and federal level pushed her to pursue a career in policy. Kiran grew up on a seventh-generation family farm south of Beloit, KS. Her heart to preserve her own family farm has extended to the preservation of the livelihoods for rural producers across the country. “I believe that passing pro-agriculture policies is vital to the future of the industry.” Kiran currently attends Kansas State University.
