Clara Misenhelter (Wicoff)

Southwind District of K-State Research and Extension - Nutrition, Food and Health Agent.

Clara Misenhelter (formerly Clara Wicoff) was a Flinchbaugh Food and Ag Policy Fellow from 2018 to 2019. She completed her federal experience with the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry in the summer of 2018 which coincided with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill. Clara also completed a state-level experience with the Kansas Grain and Feed Association. Both of these experiences strengthened her commitment to a career spent promoting food systems change and provided her with a deeper understanding of the legislative process. After graduating from Kansas State University where she studied agricultural economics and global food systems leadership, Clara moved to England in 2020 to study agricultural economics at the graduate level at the University of Reading with the support of the Marshall Scholarship. Clara is also a Truman Scholar. She is currently employed for the Southwind District of K-State Research and Extension as a Nutrition, Food and Health Agent.
