B.S. Agricultural Economics; Specialty: Accounting

Christopher Faller, currently a junior in Agricultural Economics, started his experience at K-State as a transfer student. He says, “I came across the pond on two weeks’ notice with virtually no expectations. Coming from a world dreaming of floor to ceiling windows, high rises, and high street finance, a land grant would be quite the transition. Particularly all of this with no ag background to speak of. But when I made it here, I found myself a community of serious scholars and commitment to education that quickly embraced me. I managed to find my footing faster than I ever imagined and wound up quickly in the world of agricultural policy thanks to some wonderful opportunities that came my way and some excellent professors to guide me there.” As Christopher enters this spring semester as a Flinchbaugh Fellow at Kansas Corn he expresses his excitement for the opportunity. “I’m still definitely a greenhorn, but one with a few more bearings, and an itch to help agriculture, and our state’s farmers, make great strides in their prosperity through methods personal and quantitative.”
